CALPADS/CSIS (California Longitudinal Pupil Achievement Data System)
Convenient Computing, Inc. can provide technical assistance with your state mandated data submissions. While Convenient Computing, Inc. is not and does not represent itself to be directly associated with any state agency, our technical expertise in this area will assist you in meeting these new data reporting requirements. Based on the No Child Left Behind Act of 2001 and Ed Code (sections 49084 and 60900), California Schools are required to begin using the CALPADS system in August of 2009. An important point to note, according to the California Department of Education web site, is:
Failure to comply with state law by not meeting CALPADS reporting requirements may result in zero enrollment counts for official state and federal reports as well as zero enrollment counts posted publicly on official web sites. In addition, zero enrollment counts will result in a loss of any funding based on official enrollment. Independently reporting charter schools failing to meet reporting requirements may result in a local authorizing agency decision for charter non-renewal or revocation.
Past disparate systems of data management must now be brought together to meet this data reporting requirement. Convenient Computing, Inc. will work with your staff and student information system to provide a clear picture of the steps necessary for compliance and perform the actual data submission.
